Nina Castillo is a licensed pediatric therapist with 22 years of experience, and is co-owner of a private pediatric therapy clinic in the east valley. She is also bilingual and able to perform pediatric assessments in both Spanish and English. Nina attended the University of California, Davis where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a minor in Managerial Economics.  Nina then went on to earn her Master of Science Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University.  While at Davis, CA and at San Jose, CA, she developed and helped implement home programs based on Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) for children with autism throughout the two communities.

Nina has also attended several training seminars and is now certified in Kinesiotaping and Therapeutic Listening.  She also has specialized training in sensory processing and feeding therapy. Additionally, Nina is a Certified Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) Administrator and maintains a passion for young children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Nina has been an active member of the Arizona Occupational Therapy Association (ArizOTA).  In 2006 and 2009, ArizOTA recognized Nina as Occupational Therapist of the Year.  More recently, Nina has held the positions of ArizOTA Conference Committee Chairperson, as well as ArizOTA Vice-President and President. Nina brings a wealth of pediatric experience and professionalism to PDC. We are very grateful to have her as part of our assessment team.
