Kylie graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has been working with young pediatric patients for several years, completing developmental assessments in collaboration with a team of specialists, including a pediatrician. Kylie often develops a strong rapport with the younger clientele and is skilled in assisting families with supports and services when their child has a language delay. She is also a Certified Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) Administrator. The ADOS-2 is seen as the gold standard for determining whether Autism Spectrum Disorder is playing a role in a child’s difficulties with language or when the child presents with delays in other developmental domains.
In addition, Kylie also received her Speech and Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) degree from NAU and spends part of her week treating young children with language delays. Kylie provides home-based services and quickly develops a strong rapport with families while providing them with the tools they need to support their child’s language development. Kylie works on pragmatic language development as well as articulation skills through a play-based approach and young children love interacting with her. She also assists with early communication through sign language and gestures to help develop early speech and language pathways with the brain to lay the foundation for spoken language.
“I look forward to meeting and assisting you and your child as you navigate this journey.” – Kylie
